2025 Sculpture Camp Symposium

 

When: July 22 -31, 2025 

 

The Opportunity

Come flex your creativity and join other like-minded sculptors at the 2025 Sculpture Camp Symposium. Hosted by sculptor Geemon Xin Meng at his private studio , you will be provided with a variety of materials and tools to create one small figurative or abstract sculpture, to a maximum of 2’ x 2’ x 2’. Choose from a variety of materials such as Styrofoam, wood, or other found materials, to create an assemblage or sculpt from a single material. The sculpture is yours to keep.

When

The camp will take place over 10 days, from July 22 to 31, 2025.

You do not need to be on-site everyday.

 Cost:  $60 per day

 Where

Sculptor Geemon Xin Meng is hosting the symposium at his private studio located 

It is equipped with electricity, welding facilities, a 1000 sq.ft. studio and a 2000 sq.ft. outdoor sculpture area. There is plenty of parking and a few places to camp directly on the property.

 Meals

Meals are not included. You may bring your own food or we can coordinate amongst the participants to purchase group meals on a day-to-day basis.  We have volunteers to help with food delivery as well. 

 Accommodation

If you would like to camp directly on-site, there are a few spaces to pitch a tent. (No trailers or campers allowed). We will provide drinking water, showers and environmentally-friendly composting toilets. There is no running water. Alternatively, there are many options to stay in the area.

 Participants

This is an opportunity for experienced sculptors. You must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Some assistance will be available. There will be a maximum of 5 participants.

• Attend the Site Visit Day on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10am – 3pm. You must RSVP to Geemon.

• Submit an idea for a sculpture and your website. If you do not have a website, submit 3 images of your past work. Email to: geemon2526@hotmail.com.
